Barbara attended Shaw High School for majority of her high school years, however received her high school diploma from John Hay High School. She valued education, self-sufficiency, and personal responsibility that remained evident throughout her life.
She began her professional career at the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities, as a secretary in the workshop. Committed to advancing her skills, Barbara pursued courses in accounting, payroll, and bookkeeping, equipping herself for greater responsibilities. Through discipline, consistency, and strong work ethic, she was promoted to an Accountant. Barbara was a devoted mother to Michele Clark and LaShawn James. She believed in structure, providing for her family, and ensuring responsibilities were handled with care and precision.
She remained deeply connected to her faith as a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir. She also shared her voice with the Wings Over Jordan choir, continuing her love for worship and praise.
Barbara was active in her community in the City of Euclid, taking pride in where she lived and contributing in meaningful ways. She enjoyed traveling, taking cruises, and exploring the finest local restaurants.
