Barbara Ann Evans passed away on October 2, 2019. She was born in Akron, Ohio and was a resident for 80 years.

She retired from the City of Akron after 50 years of service. She attended the University of Akron and was a proud   member of The House of the Lord’s First Logos Bible Institute, graduating with all A’s. She was a member of The House of the Lord since the 1980’s and was an altar worker.

Her favorite past-time included knitting, taking care of son, Michael, and daughter, Regina Evans, spending time with grandsons, Christopher and Christian and also her faithful pets/dogs, Ginger Maria Jane, CC and her adopted dog, Rocky, known as “Rock-Rock” and the cat, Chauncey, also known as “Fred.”

Barbara was preceded in death by parents, Louise and Bernard Brown; son, Michael Lamont Evans; brother, Bernard “Sonny” Brown and nephew, Derek Vincent Brown.

She is survived by daughters, Carolyne Louise Collins and Regina Elizabeth Evans; brother, Ronald William Brown; aunt, Eva Willoughby; cousins, Karen and Jon Alexander; nephew, Robert “Robbie “Allen Brown of Detroit, MI; beloved grandson, Christopher Bernard Clark Collins and Christian Michael Curtis Collins; special friends, Dell Elaine Williams and Gwen Jenkins; caretaker and friend, Theresa Williams; and a host of dear friends and family members.
