Barbara Jean Stubbs, revered as a pillar of strength, passed away on April 3, 2026.
Born on May 3, 1941, Barbara was known for her warmth, generosity, and the undeniably loving spirit she brought into the world.
Barbara will be lovingly remembered by her beloved children, Jacquece, Daphne, Rabben and Mia. Also her sisters and brother; Judy, Betty, Janice Richard and Beverly. Her aunts Frankie and Patricia. Her grandchildren; Lil Jacquece, Byron, Brenan, Brandon, Dominique, and Riki. A host of nieces and nephews; Tiffany, Angie, Michael, Stefan, Chandra, Jason, Nicole, Jordon, Chelsea, Adam and Baby Richard (passed). A host of great grandchildren, great nieces and nephews,
She is joined in rest by her mother, Ethel, her father, Richard, her sister Betty, and her brother Richard, along with many other loved ones throughout her life.
Barbara also leaves behind a brokenhearted, supportive group of relatives, church family and countless friends.
Among Barbaras most significant accomplishments was raising her four daughters, whom she loved. She worked as an assembler for General Motors, where she retired. She didn’t stop there. Her passion for caring for elderly in their home, ensuring they were able to maintain their independence, while working alongside them, to achieve their health goals.
Barbara never wavered in her compassion for others. She continued to support her family and extend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Her legacy is one of unyielding kindness and generosity. Her life is a testament of servitude.
A Celebration of Life for Barbara will take place on April 17 at 10:30am at Glenville SDA church.
Those wishing to pay their respects and celebrate her life are welcomed.
Barbara’s loss is deeply felt by her family and all those who knew and loved her. Her memory will continue to live on and inspire strength, resilience, and generosity in those whose lives she touched.
