Basia Miniya Parker, a vibrant spirit, transitioned peacefully on June 27, 2025, at the age of 27. Born on September 11, 1997, in Cleveland Ohio, she was the cherished daughter of Rae Banks. Raised in Conneaut, Ohio, Basia briefly attended Cleveland State University, where her journey as a creative and free-spirited individual began to flourish.
Basia was a radiant soul whose artistry, style, and compassion touched the lives of many. Whether she was painting, writing, exploring new places, or uplifting those around her, she infused her love into everything she created. Basia had an incredible ability to make everyone feel seen, valued, and understood, leaving a lasting impression on all who crossed her path.
She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Rae (Missy) Banks, and her grandmother, Beverly Banks.
Basia is survived by her brothers, Bradley Banks, Adolf Parker, Franz Parker, and Champeon Parker; her aunt, Renessa Banks ( bonus mom); and her cherished cousins, Joseph and Joelle, who were as close as siblings. She is survived by her Grandparents. She also leaves behind her beloved partner, Kait Hoffman; her best friend and sister, D’Leecia Latorres; her adored godson, Kayden Roberts; and a wide circle of cousins, friends, and family who loved her dearly.
Basia’s presence was a precious gift, her memory an everlasting treasure, and her legacy one of love, light, and unfettered creativity.
