“Don’t give up keep fighting, Jehovah God has not forgotten you”, and He didn’t. Belva Jean Samuel (Watson), 71, went home on March 14, 2018, in Akron, Ohio. Belva was born in Elberton, GA to the late Thomas and Roberta Alice Watson Sr. on May 23, 1946.Belva’s family later relocated to Akron, Ohio in 1958 where her new life began.
Belva graduated from Hammel Business College with an associate degree. She was a supervisor at Akron General for over 15 years. A certified nursing assistant for over 10 years. In addition, she loved helping, motivating, and encouraging others. Through many years of hard work and dedicated service at Bethel Group Home; her daughter Deonna was afforded the opportunity to become sole proprietor of the facility.
Belva was a faithful devoted member of The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness.Belva loved reading the bible, studying and sharing the word of Jehovah God. She also enjoyed watching TV and talking on the phone. She spent most of her time with her family.
Mrs. Samuel was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Roberta Alice Watson Sr, brother Ronald Watson, and loving mother in law Magnolia Samuel.
As matriarch of our family, she leaves to cherish her memory, her spouse Jimmy Lee Samuel; devoted children and caregivers Gwendolyn, Monica, Kelvin, Shelley, and Deonna (James) White; beloved siblings Barbara (Mose) Dabney,Thomas Watson, Jr, Donald (Paula) Watson, Michael (Sharon) Watson, Jacqueline (Duane) Grimes, and Jeffrey Watson; sister in law Jackie Brooks-Watson.Precious; grandchildren Keeanna, Jasmine, Alecio, Isaiah, Deanna, Mackenzie, and Samyia. Treasured Cousin; Dr. Yvonne (Lee Roy) Bronner, she also leaves behind 7 great- grandchildren, a host of adored nieces, nephews, family and friends.
