Benjamin McClendon is survived by his wife Mary McClendon; children, Darrell K. McClendon, Deborah McClendon-Jones (Cyrus); siblings, Barbara Brown, Ruby Cody (Garion), Mable Rice, Mary Mockabee (Kenneth); grandchildren, Lakita Owens, Tamika Franklin, Samone Matthews (Kevin), Jessica Owens, Amber McClendon, Angela Owens, Tyrone McClendon; 8 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

To Ruby and family my heartfelt and deepest condolences at this untimely death of your brother. May you know Jesus heals a wounded heart at times like these. Sorry circumstances did not allow me to be with you in person, however you were in my prayers.

The loss of our beloved Ben has caused a void which can never be filled. Although he will be sorely missed, we can all take solace in the fact that we have yet another angel in Heaven watching over us. Until we meet again, Ben, Rest-In-Paradise. With Much Love, Pat❤️

Ben was a great uncle who I'll always remember. I think he was the one who first who started calling me Zeek. May Ben rest in peace and may his memory be a blessing for family and friends.
