Mr. Bennie Lee Woodson Sr. was born on January 26, 1984, in Cleveland, Ohio to Bennie and Cherry (Jerome). On September 20, 2026, God called him home to eternal rest.

Bennie began his educational journey at Anton Grdina school in Cleveland, Ohio. He later relocated to Batesville, Mississippi, where he attended South Panola High School. Continuing his education, Bennie went on to earn his high school diploma through an educational institution in Texas. After receiving his diploma, Bennie pursued his entrepreneurial dreams and started his trucking business, Woodson & McCole-Hen Logistics. Bennie enjoyed working and took pride in every position held. He built lasting friendships everywhere he went and was respected and loved by members of his community. Affectionately known as “BAM BAM” Bennie was a devoted and loving father, a caring son, cherished brother, a beloved uncle and nephew, a treasured cousin, and a faithful friend. Bennie had a gift for encouraging and uplifting others. He served as a trusted confidant and counselor to many, always willing to offer a listening ear, meaningful advice, and words of encouragement.

Let us not forget Bennie’s sophisticated personality, undeniable sense of style, and a smile that would light up any room. He carried himself with confidence and took great pride in his appearance– and he never hesitated to remind us. With that unforgettable confidence and a smile, he would proudly say, “I look GOOD!” His unique personality, signature style, radiant smile, and the love he poured into those around him are just a few of many qualities that made ‘Bam Bam” truly one of a kind. At an early age, Bennie accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at Mt. Gillion M.B. Church under the leadership of Pastor Dr. Walton Newton. 1620 Terza Rd Sardis, Mississippi.

Bennie was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Bennie Hankins Sr and Bobby Nell. His maternal grandfather Mack and Uncle Terry. He leaves to cherish his precious memory his loving parents Bennie “Pete” and Cherry “Sherry” (Jerome) of Cleveland, Ohio. His children: Tayijah, Jayla, Ramier, Kayna, Taije, Bennie Jr, Aniya and Daymiere. His brothers Jeremaine, Rozell, Aaron, Deonte and bonus brothers Marcus (Scooby), Daunte, and Lamarco. His sister Kiwianna (David) and bonus sister Asia “Toot”. His grandmother Georgia, 7 aunts including a special aunt/mom Gloria, uncles Terry Miles, Sam and Larry. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
