Bernice (Granny) Perkins went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 18, 2018. She was born on October 1, 1924 in Akron, OH to the late Ora L. Woods and Mr. Perkins. At a young age, she began her employment at B.F. Goodrich as a line worker and at City Laundry.
Bernice was a bright, bubbly, feisty woman who loved to dance and play bingo. She loved being around people and doing arts & crafts. She was known for her love of Reese peanut butter cups.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ora L. Woods; father Mr. Perkins; son, Richard Perkins; grandson, Mark Perkins and sister Ruth Stembridge.
She leaves to cherish her memory grandchildren, Regina Shinholster, Omega Perkins (Griselda), Marguette Perkins, Chevalier Perkins, Evean Perkins; great- grandchildren, Cashmere Perkins, Christina Shinholster, Deon Oden (Naia), Omega Perkins, Jr., (Denise), LaShae Perkins, Leilani Perkins, 5 great-great grandchildren and special great niece Diane Willis (Tonio).
