Bettie Giddings Ramsey, 82 years old received her wings on January 6, 2018. She was born December 4, 1935 in Akron, OH to the late James and Elishie Giddings.
She was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse at Akron Children’s Hospital with 24 years of service. Bettie was an amazing woman and mother. Everyone that knew her fell in love with her. Her nicknames were “Ma Bettie, “G-Ma”, and “Mommy”. Her hobbies were playing Bingo, and traveling with family and friends. Her fondest time was her trip to Italy and to the Price is Right in California. She was an avid Cleveland Cavaliers Fan.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Elishie Giddings; son, Johnnie Samuel Ramsey, Jr. and her brothers, Earnest, Edward and Bobby Giddings.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Stephanie Giddings, Annie Israell Garrett and Markedith Anthony Walker; brothers, Moses Giddings, and Samuel Giddings; sister, Annie Reynolds; sisters-in-law, Odessa Giddings and Lucille Giddings; sister in Christ, Mrs Lillie Walker; grandchildren, Charice, Anthony, Antoine, Johnnie, Rahsaan, Marcus, Shalaun, Leilani, Eric, Erica, Antea, Byron, and Aaron; great-grandchildren Antoine, Curraie, Antanae, Cheyenne, Stephon, Daynah, Midguel, Tania, Malachi, Machi, Imani, Tyreon, Aspen, Sean, Amari, and Elijah; special children, Crystal Boykin, Roger Williams, Diane Williams, Lisa Kelson, Doris Robinson, Barbara and Floyd Robinson; goddaughter, Summer Hall; devoted caregivers, Charice Giddings, Daisha Patterson, Trevana Prude, and Pamela Moss and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
