On Labor Day Monday, September 4, 2017, Betty Jean Liggins was granted sweet rest and was welcomed into her heavenly home at the age of 82. 

She leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter Mary Ann, a special son in-law Rev. Marvin J. Walker, two grandchildren, Brian Walker and Arika (Marcus) Taylor; two great grandchildren, Autumn and Jordan Taylor; two sisters, Dorothy (George) Easton and Dale Johnson of Chicago, IL; two step sisters, Dorothy D. and Corrin T. and two step brothers, Eddie C. and Oscar Jones all of St. Louis, MO; one aunt Gazella Holmes; one brother-in-law, Howard Liggins of St.Louis;  special nieces: Minnie (preceded her in death), Jeanette, Laverna, Inez, Sugretta, and Georgia II; a host of other precious nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and Church members.
