Beverly Ann Chambers, born Rosetta Ann Scott came into the world August 24, 1944, at Akron City Hospital. She was born to the union of US Naval man, Henderson Scott, and Anna Mae Broden Scott. She was third in line of six siblings.
Beverly graduated from South High School here in Akron in 1963. After many years working in men’s retail she went on to receive her LPN from Cuyahoga Falls School of Practical Nursing in 1972 than going on to gain her RN from St. Thomas School of Nursing in 1985. She proudly lent her talents as an RN to Akron Children’s Hospital for over 25 years before retiring. She was absolutely the one that both, family and close acquaintances, would turn to with health questions or minor injuries.
Bev, as she was affectionately called, loved reading with great desire, especially the likes of Stephen King and Deen Koontz. In her lifetime, she also enjoyed hand dancing, playing cards, crocheting, fishing, gatherings with family and friends, and spoiling her two grandchildren.
Awaiting her arrival are husband, Lewis Chambers; parents, Henderson and Anna Mae Scott; siblings, Henderson Jr., Myron Scott and Sandra Scott-Thornton; and nephew, Antoine Scott.
Left to celebrate her life are daughter, Kelly Scott; granddaughters, Imani and Giavonna Scott-Thompson; brother, James Scott; sisters, Carolyn Scott (Robert Brown) and Leola Scott; along with a host of nieces, nephews extended family and friends.
