Cousin Glenn... I pray God comforts you in Godspeed... I pray in time... Joy and happiness will fill your spirit again... I pray in your time... you will hold your head up high... and be... Just as proud... as your Mother was... when she spoke about you... I pray that... your firm and confident... in believing... That our God... received and greeted your Mother... my great Aunt... with open arms... I offer my condolences to you and our entire family... In Godspeed...

I must admit that my Aunt Blanche was far from being "cool," but she became likable, even lovable in her later years. Her son, Glen and I became much closer as we grew older.. We even traveled cross country just to spend a few hours with one another. Thank you Glen! We realized that through it all, we were a loving family, and I love my family dearly. I want to tell a story about Aunt Blanche and my huge afro at the time, but somehow, no matter how funny it was, it now seems inappropriate. So for those of you who know the story, just remember, there is more than one way to get your hair to stand on end. For those of you who don't...at the time it was popular to get a "Blowout." One day while visiting my Grandmother, her Mother, Aunt Blanche approproately asked me if I had a "Blowjob." We all laughed infectiously just to hear her say the word and noted, that was the day my aunt became "COOL." I'll truly miss you Aunt Blanche. You unexpectedly came to life for me in my early twenties and kept me on my toes whenever we spoke. Thank you for your honesty and your character. A few of us know you were looking out for our best interest, and that you were "Cool."

To Glenn Boxx and family, on behalf of my family and Clarkwood Association #4, I send our deepest condolences. Mrs. Boxx was a beautiful, strong and outspoken woman. She was on the Board of our association and while she was in good health, she ran our association well. Her expertise was truly missed! We all are running in this race of life, some fast and some slow. Mrs. Boxx ran her race well and she will always be remembered as a winner in our book!
