Bobby Jewels Nelson II, a beloved son, father, and friend, was born on Thanksgiving Day, November 22, 1984, to Bobby Jewels Nelson Sr. and Patricia Nelson. He brought immense joy to his family, especially to his big sister Ciarra, who eagerly awaited his arrival.
Growing up in Cleveland Heights, Bobby created cherished memories visiting his dad at the Cleveland Fire Department and enjoying family trips to Sea World. He had a vibrant spirit, a kind heart, and an infectious smile that attracted many friends to his side. Bobby was known for his love of fishing, watching scary and funny movies, fine jewelry, playing video games with his dad and son and spending quality time with his mother and sister.
After graduating high school, Bobby continued his education at Ivy Tech College. He embraced fatherhood with open arms, welcoming his first daughter, Nela, with his high school sweetheart, Katrina. He later had another daughter, Asia, who brought him immeasurable joy. Bobby found love again when he married Simone Dean, with whom he had two daughters, Jasmine and Patrice, followed by the birth of his lovely baby girl, Kassidy, from another relationship later on. He also shared a special bond with his fiancée, Alicia Daugherty, and welcomed his youngest, a precious baby boy, Bobby Jewels Nelson III; the son he always wanted. Little Bobby was his jewel.
Bobby was not just a hard worker for the city of Cleveland; he was a truly phenomenal man. His positivity, protectiveness, and love for his family made him a cherished presence in the lives of all who knew him. He treasured the time spent with his beloved grandmother, Adelaide Beckham, and enjoyed the unwavering support of his sister, Ciarra, who always embraced her role as the big sister, and his constant best friend, his mom.
Bobby’s light will continue to shine through the countless lives he touched with his compassion and kindness.
