Bonita (Bonnie) J. Heard age 78, passed away peacefully after a long illness on June 13, 2021, with her husband and daughter by her bedside.

Bonnie was born in Akron, OH, and was a lifetime resident of this community. She was a graduate of Buchtel High School. She retired from the Department of Human Services after 28 years of devoted service.
Before her illness, she attended New Trinity Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Johnson. She will be forever missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents Katherine and Robert C. Peters Sr., and brother, Benjamin.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted husband Fulton Heard, Jr. and her loving and devoted daughter, Deborah Dancy; brother, Robert Peters Jr.; stepdaughter, Sherell (Robert) Taylor of Akron, OH, Anthony (Holly) Heard of Owesgo, IL and Sheronda (James) Carter of LV, NV; devoted and loving sister-in-law, Sheila Heard; 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.
