Brenda is survived by her husband David I. Mitchell and father Ernest Shackelford. Brenda’s mother Pearline Jolly (preceded her death). Cherished step-mother of Debra L. Bourn and David Bonney. Loving sister of Phyllis Brown (Fred). Step-Grandmother of Mercedes Morgan, MaShella Bourn and Michael Bourn Jr. Step-Great Grandmother of Alyesia Drayton-Fuher, Julian and Jonathan Morgan.

Dear Family, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your dear loved one and send you my sincere condolences. May you find comfort from God's word at Revelation 21:3,4 and John 5:28,29. Heartfelt prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Sorry for your loss, I can't begin to understand how you feel, but I pray that God will bless you and make it easier for you.

I wish I had the right words to express how sorry I am. You are blessed. There is no preparation for this. How do you prepare for a home going to someone you love so much. When my father passed, I broke down for a minute, me being the oldest son, strong and proud. My dad memories lives in me, the good times and the not so good times. That how I know he is with me. I have done fine over the, never forgetting. So shall you. Remember, you are blessed in so many ways. Never forgetting Brenda Mitchell, because she live in you.
