Brenda Faye Agee, whose spirit brought so much joy to all who knew her.Born on August 31, 1963, Brenda was the seventh child of Jessie and William Agee, both of whom preceded her in passing. Baptized at an early age at St. Timothy Missionary Baptist Church, Brenda grew up in Cleveland, attending public schools and creating a foundation rooted in faith and community.Brenda always had a knack for laughter and loved making others smile, especially children. Whether she was listening to classic tunes, reading a good book, solving crossword puzzles, or preparing delicious meals, Brenda’s passion for bringing people together was evident. Her favorite dish to prepare and share was lasagna, and on her birthday Brenda would invite family and friends to enjoy her cooking, often putting everyones enjoyment ahead of her own.A true people person, Brenda held several customer service roles throughout her life, including jobs at a shoe store, a bar, and the East Side Market. For nearly twenty years, Brenda worked as a Deli Clerk at Daves Supermarket, where she became a beloved member of the staff and earned the affection of countless customers.Brenda’s longtime partner, Henry Jefferies Jr., along with two brother, Edwin Agee (Jan) and Anthony Agee (Linda), and one sister, Evelyn Agee-Leach (Jaydel), all preceded her in death. Brenda did not have children, but she was cherished as the family babysitter and affectionately called “Auntie Brenda” by many children of relatives and friends.On April 15, 2026, Brenda was called home, leaving behind two brothers, Darryl Agee (Joyce) and Gregory Agee (Tonya); two sisters, Cynthia Gillespie and Joyce Kern; and a loving circle of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces. and many other family members and friends who will forever remember Brenda’s kindness and laughter.
