Bridgette Ranae Dorsey was born on February 20, 1959, in New York, New York to Deloris Dorsey (Caldwell) and Archie Jennings. She was later raised by Deloris and Johnny Dorsey after moving to Akron, OH as a young girl. She attended school in Akron and graduated with her diploma from Buchtel High School. Bridgette was a Baptist and attended church occasionally. Before her health declined, she had received her Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and she drove trucks and a bus for MRDD.
Bridgette loved her family and spent a lot of time with them. She was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, cousin, niece, and friend. Bridgette enjoyed entertaining, listening to music, helping those in need, cooking, and traveling.
Bridgette was preceded in death by her grandparents, David, and Lillie Caldwell; mother, Deloris Dorsey; father, Archie Jennings; stepfather, Johnny Dorsey; grandson, Lorenzo Farrey, Jr., and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Bridgette is survived by her children, Ebonee (Lorenzo Sr.) Farrey, Desiree Dorsey, Joel and Ciera Wellmaker; grandchildren, Le’Tanqueray Farrey, Levi Farrey, Dallas (Jenee) Gray, Alex Ford, Joel Wellmaker III, Harmony Johnson, and Nia Wellmaker; great-grandchild, Talayah Beasley; sister, Bethann Dorsey; aunt, Edith Graham; niece, Hope Dorsey and a host of many, many cousins, family members, and friends.
