Bruce Milton Harper, age 64, went home to be with the Lord on April 28, 2020. Bruce is survived by his beloved wife, Cassandra Harper; children, Keila Harper Marshall (Darnell Sr.); stepchildren, Jamie Hegwood, LaShawn Jackson, Cassandra Stith (Maurice), Antoinette Banks Townsend (Anthony); siblings, Loretta McElrath and Dr. Charles Harper (Bernadette); grandchildren, Kayla Marshall, Kylie Marshall, and Darnell Marshall Jr.; step- grandchildren, LaShawn Bell, Donovan Jackson, Alexis Stith, DeWayne Stith, Anniyah Warner, and Austin Banks Townsend. Bruce is the son of the late, Ralph Milton Harper and Vera Harper (Byrd). Bruce is also preceded in death by his siblings, Eric Thompson, Gwendolyn Thompson, and Valeria Harper, and brother in law, Wesley.

My condolences to the families and the friends in the loss of Bruce Harper. We have wonderful memories of Bruce. He will be missed, He was a great person. When I had seen him last at Dave’s, we had a wonderful fellowship.

To the family of Bruce, Our deepest condolences regarding the loss of such a wonderful person as Bruce. Bruce remodeled our basement and what beautiful job he did! His skill in decorating was top notch and years later we are still getting compliments on our basement! Bruce, thank you for the time well spent. You will always be remembered. God Bless and until we meet again.....

I didn’t know how creative Bruce was. We saw a few of his bathroom remodeling projects and realized how innovative he was 20 years ago. I aspire to be that good one day. Miss you cuz !

To the family and friends of Bruce Harper; I grew up calling Bruce by many nick names; Skip, Skippy, uncle Arn, Arn and others; but he self proclaimed himself "Harper the Girl Stopper. Growing up we did everything together; all kinds of sports, listened to music, sang (Bruce swore he was Russell Thompkins of the Stylistics), and most of all, we laughed and lied about each other all day long. Bruce and I have kept in touch throughout the years and even had a silly secret 'sound' message for the answering machine; why? Because we always remained kids. My condolences to our family members and may we all find peace and strength through Jesus Christ; and embrace the blessing of Bruce being in our lives.
