Bryan Alan Speight, age 45, passed away on January 12th, 2023

Bryan Alan Speight was born February 21, 1977, in Cleveland, Ohio to Alfred Pope and Delores Speight. Although he graduated from the Bedford School district, Brian began his education in the Cleveland Metropolitan School district. During his high school years at John F Kennedy, he became a major asset to their football program while playing both sides of the field. Brian assisted the fighting Eagles to several victories that should’ve led to numerous state Championships.

During the mid to late 90’s Brian began a career in construction. He took on numerous task such as; dry walling, waterproofing homes, and pouring concrete. Early in life, Bryan had a desire to be an on over the road truck driver. Fortunately for him, he was able to do local truck driving prior to being diagnosed with a seizure disorder. As a teenager Brian self-taught himself to cut hair. To whom it owes that craft to his mom. This is because she would give him bowl haircuts that he no longer appreciated as a teen. This craft led Bryan to a career in cosmetology. As he received a diploma from the School of Cosmetologist at Remington College. There he not only honed the craft of haircare, but he also perfected nail care as well.

On January 12, 2023, Bryan departed this life. He was preceded in his death by his Grandparents; Ira and Ruth Pope, grandfather; R.L. Speight, and father; Alfred Pope.

Bryan leaves to cherish his memory a special friend Laquita Ogletree, three sons; Delvon Blackburn (Ciara), Anton & Kamari Speight, his mother; Delores Speight, grandmother; Mary L. Speight, one sister; Alexis Edmundson (Dontai) two brothers; Aaron & Andre Pope, two grandkids, four nephews, one niece, and a host of other family & friends.
