Our beloved mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend left this world unexpectedly at the age of 43, July 10, 2021. She was born March 5, 1978, to Fredrick Harris, Sr., and Lisa A. Carter in Akron, OH.
Camisha attended Akron Public Schools graduating in 1996, where she also received her cosmetology license. She had a colorful eye for style. She had a love not only for hair, but also for education. She received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Akron and a Master’s in Criminal Justice from Case Western University with honors. She wore her National Honor Society Stole with pride.
When you think of Camisha, celebrate the good memories you have of her. Remember that life is fragile, short, and should be lived to the fullest. She was loved by many and will always be remembered for her honest personality and the love she had for her girls.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lisa A. Carter; father, Fredrick Harris, Sr.; great-aunt “Mama” Nettie Hardy; husband, Jonas Butts.
She is survived by her 3 daughters, La’Terri Carter, De’Anna, and Ca’Miah Vinson; brother, William Plummer; grandmother, Annie Carter; Harris family, Melody Harris, Fredrick Harris, Jr., Coren Harris, Shalathia Y. (Gooch) Williams, Jamal Harris, Christian Harris and Henri Harris as well as a host of family members and friends.
