Growing up on East 139th Street, Ms. Kennerly, was like a second mom to my brother, James and I. She always looked out for us once we became latch-key kids and over the summers if we were home alone while our parents worked. I have fond memories when she would take Val and Ed to Miles Drive-In and invite us to come along. For that reason, she has and always will hold a special place in my heart. Rest in Peace, Ms. Kennerly. My heartfelt c9ndolences to the family, it seems as though, we are all taking turns in this place of grief as our parents transition to Heaven. I love you all.
