His Story……..

After High School he attended Cleveland State University. Carl worked most of his adult life in the healthcare field. Starting at Mt Sinai Hospital when they closed he began working at Cleveland Clinic Beachwood as a Registered Sterile Processing Technician. It was there, he and eleven others were offered an opportunity to attend a new program for Surgical Technologists through Cleveland Clinic. He was very grateful and honored for such an amazing opportunity. He started his career as a Surgical Tech in Pediatrics at the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus. He then continued his career as a Surgical Tech with LakeHealth Systems where he became a Preceptor at both Lakehealth Willoughby and Painesville locations. Unfortunately, his career ended due to being diagnosed with Congestive heart failure.
His Ministry……..
Carl accepted Christ at a very young age; he attended Greater Abyssinia (Rev E.T. Caviness) with his parents and siblings. Carl was a faithful member of Imani Church of Christ. Carl has always had a Pastor’s heart and once he entered the doors of Imani Church, he never left. Under the tutelage of Pastor Michele Humphrey, Carl continued to grow spiritually; he studied, read, preached and participated in a host of ministries such as teaching Sunday School, and singing in the Men’s Choir and and was a member of Imani’s Men’s Ministry before becoming a licensed Minister June 29, 2008.
Carl was the Minister of Outreach where he held that position with very high regards. Minister Brewster established the First Thanksgiving Community Meal held at Imani Church. He was instrumental in forming the Harvest Fellowship Ministry where the Imani Food Pantry was established. He worked closely with the Cleveland Hunger Food Bank, Community Leaders within the city of Cleveland and Euclid; in addition to the entire Euclid Community. He not only served the Euclid Community and his Imani Church family; he also formed relationships outside of the city of Euclid to name a few; The City Mission, Laura’s Home, The Salvation Army and many more.
