Carl Enock Hamilton went home to be with the Lord on February 25, 2023. He was born November 28, 1951, in Cleveland, Ohio. He was the only child of the late Gertrude and Cecil Hamilton.
As a child, Carl enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his cousins and his grandfather Rev. John Hamilton. As a teenager, Carl graduated from John F. Kennedy High school.
He worked at Step Forward, formerly the Council for Economic Opportunities in Greater Cleveland (CEOGC) before retiring as Head of Maintenance. Before retiring, Carl met the love of his life Marilyn Braxton and on June 5, 2015, they were married.
He enjoyed fishing, watching anime, playing flight simulator games, and spending time with family and friends, especially his grandson. Carl was also a proud member of the Ohio Archers Association, USA Archery, and the National Field Archery Association.
He leaves to cherish his memory stepson Grover C. Braxton Jr.; daughter-in-law ChyAnne Braxton; one grandson Gideon Braxton; four cousins Sidney (Carla) Tyner of Ohio, John (Ingrid) Hamilton of Nevada, Arlene Wynn of Ohio, Awilda Hamilton of Florida; best friend Ken Bouillon. He is also survived by a host of cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn Braxton-Hamilton; his parents Cecil and Gertrude Hamilton.
