Carlisa Marie X. (Jackson) age 72 passed away on February 01, 2020. She was born on May 17, 1947, in Akron, OH to the parents of Irene X. (Barefield) and Biological father Carl Byrd but raised by Edward X. (Barefield).  She attended South High School in Akron where she graduated in 1966.  In 1967 Carlisa reclaim the Islamic religion.  She worked as a secretary for WVIZ, and for Sterling Jewelers where she retired from in 2008. She was a wonderful mother who devoted her life to her children and wanted nothing but the best for them. She enjoyed studying Islam, reading good books, listening to 50’s and 60’s music, loved learning about nature and watching reality TV shows.  She also enjoyed winning contests on various radio stations. Most of all she loved spending time with all her children and all her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edward X. (Barefield) and Carl Byrd; stepmom, Mattie Byrd; God mom, Josephine Whimper (Ma Jo); sisters, Baby Charlene Rene, Ester Battle, Zelma X. (Ferguson), Georgia McCormick; brothers, K.V. Jackson, Carl Byrd, Jr.; granddaughter, LaQuanda Rogers; nephew, Ameer Saafir (Leroy).

She leaves to cherish her precious memory her mother, Irene X. (Barefield); children, Irene X. (Jackson) (Carlous), Emanuel Ashley, Willie Ashley; bonus children, RosaLee Rogers, Angela Posey, Henry Jr., Jamell Reese (Sonnja), Terrance Reese, Tracy Ashley, Christine Ashley; grandchildren, Carlisa Hayes, Keirra Ashley, Quincy Spaulding, Darious Ashley, Deianira Ashley; bonus grandchildren, Calvin, Jonathan, Marcus (Lori), Patrick (Jasmine), Angelica, Alyssa, Justin, CJ, Clararissa, Wynona, Mercedes; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Asya Minter, Delores Mohammed, Brenda Vincent, Madelyn Barber (Wayne), Willa Byrd Beasley (Terry), Victoria Vargas; brothers, Tommy Jackson (Ordell), Robert X. (Rogers) (Tina); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins family, and friends that she loved dearly.
