Carmen Maria Menefee was born on August 13th, 1961. On January 6th, 2025, Carmen became one of God’s Angels.
Carmen attended Cleveland Public Schools as a child and graduated from John Adams High School in 1979, where she met her high school sweetheart and soul mate, Paris Menefee. Their blessed union lasted for 49 years of marriage. Carmen and Paris loved to travel all over the world together.
Carmen mastered the art of shorthand in high school and was able to type 90 words a minute, which landed her a career with the Ohio Department of Mental Health as a Medical Billing Representative for both Cleveland and Columbus. Carmen retired from the Ohio Department of Mental Health after 30 years of service at the age of 49! How Amazing!!
Carmen was devoted and committed to everything that she did. She always gave great advice and was easy to talk to. Carmen was well organized and was the first person at a family event. Being on time with a gift in hand, welcoming everyone in.
Camen enjoyed going to the casino with her mom and her sisters. She wouldn’t “take no mess” from anyone and had a laugh that was contagious. If you ever went to Carmen and Paris’s house, you saw that there was never anything out of place and it was always kept immaculately clean!
Carmen loved her ponytails in her hair. She took great care of her clothes, and you could see the iron creases in them. Carmen had shoes that she had for years but they still looked brand new. She had at least 10 pairs of white and black canvas shoes alone! Carmen’s style was cute and one of a kind.
Carmen was an amazing cook and at every family event her favorite dish to bring was green beans that always tasted so delicious. Carmen loved watching her favorite game shows The Price is Right, Press Your Luck and Let’s Make A Deal.
Carmen Leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Paris Menefee, sisters; Tyra Williams, Jill (Ottie) Cooper, Krystal (Richard) El-Ain, brother Mark Willaims, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Carmen leaves a void in all our hearts which we will work to fill with the remembered joy of having fun with her as part of our everyday lives.
