Catherine Barbara Miller, the cherished daughter of Emmett and Alberta Jones (deceased)., entered into this world on June 1, 1941. Surrounded by the love of her brothers Emmett Jr.(deceased), Larry and sisters Sylvia Whitt (deceased), Marion, Delores and Kataline. Catherine’s life was rooted in family from the very beginning.
The family originated from Washington, D.C. on Cherry Hill, and later moved to Cleveland, Ohio. Catherine attended John Adams High School, where she met and later married Marquette Miller. She was a deeply devoted mother to her only child Marguerite Louise Miller, AKA “Ree.”Although small in stature she was big at heart.
A hardworking and dedicated woman, Catherine spent over 50 years employed with Grace Hospital where she faithfully served and retired as a food service supervisor. Following her career, she pursued her passion and found happiness in traveling the Catherine enjoyed sharing her life and most of her travels with Aaron Martin. Going to the casino and bus trips was the highlight of her week. Just for sheer pleasure she joined the Red Coats at Playhouse Square. She loved cooking, shopping, crocheting and making prayer crosses. She loved all kinds of music and attending concerts with ‘Ree’.
Catherine had a love for the Lord and gave her life to Christ at an early age. She peacefully transitioned into the arms of her Lord on May 12, 2026. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who loved her: The Love of her Life, Marguerite (Mac), sisters Marion Bailey, Delores Kirby, Kataline Brown (C.B),and brother Larry Jones (Tracy), a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and her besties Ernestine, Betty, Theresa, Pauline, Brenda, Donna, Wanda, Rose, Monica and their families will miss the love that she gave so freely and the joy she brought to all of them.
Her legacy, strength, and devotion will live on in all who knew and loved her. Catherine leaves these words with those who knew, and to those who can attest too: She did it her way!
