Cecillia A. Blue, a free spirited, caring and generous person, passed away on November 7, 2023, surrounded by family.

She was a long-time residence of Akron, Ohio. Cecillia attended North High School and went on to receive her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Akron. She was a cheerleader for North Akron Pee Wee’s through high school.

Before Cecillia’s illness, she was a school teacher for the Akron Public School System. She was the president and organizer for many organizations in the community.

Cecillia had a daily relationship with Jesus Christ, and was a faithful member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Parish.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Blue; brothers, Karl Blue and Quran Akida (Sherrod Blue).

Cecillia is survived by her mother, Cora Blue; sisters, Gatesthrea Blue and Vickie Taylor; and brother, Goma Bahati (Dwayne Blue), along with a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

My deepest sympathies to the Blue family, we grew up across the street from the Blue family, Cecilia was always very active in so many activities, kept a friendly smile and always willing to help someone in need. After many years after school I saw her and she was still the same , Beautiful, friendly smile and a glow in her eyes, she was a lifetime friend and will be missed dearly. R.I.P my friend , we love you .

To the Blue family I'm so sorry for your loss. Blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted. Know that God is the true comforter as you go through this time. I always liked Cecillia she was as cool as they come. I remember her friendliness and beautiful smile. Take your rest baby girl. There will be a morning time.
