Charles Alvin Winston peacefully passed away on Monday, June 9, 2024, at noon at Menorah Park in Beachwood, Ohio, where he had been residing for some time.
Born in St. Louis, Charles later moved to Tennessee before settling in Cleveland, Ohio, where he lived until his passing. As a teen, he attended East High School. He was preceded in death by his mother, Fentress Winston, his father, Alvis Maben, and numerous grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Charles had a deep love for the outdoors, enjoying activities such as barbecuing, fishing, and hunting. His career included positions at White Motors, Eaton & Dill, and he eventually retired from Alloy Bellows Precision Welding.
He leaves behind his cherished wife, Maggie, his sister Jean Thomas, his brother Willie Floyd Maben, his sister-in-law Fannie, and his nieces Rhonda and Kayla Briskey. He is also survived by his niece-in-laws Cheryl, Michelle, and Sheena Somerville, along with many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who held a special place in his heart.
Charles will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
