Charles affectionately known as “Uncle Charles” grew up on the Southwest side of Akron where he attended Akron Public Schools. He went to Garfield High School and finished his education with his G.E.D. As a youth he loved watching his favorite cartoon Thundercats, which is where he got the nickname “Snarf” from. In 2002, Charles met and fell in love with Greta Love while working at Little Tikes and made her his wife in 2009.
Charles loved going out to eat with family, listening to music, working on cars, playing cards, and talking mess to everyone. He was also very patient with a very giving heart.
Watching football was his all-time favorite thing to do. During football season he would get together every Sunday with his good friend Peete and bet on which teams were going to win, Charles also loved going to work. He loved to work so much to the point that he would procrastinate going to his doctor’s appointments. Before his passing, he worked for Habitat for Humanity as an assistant manager.
Finally, Charles used his final breaths of life saying “Yes, I accept” to the Lord Jesus Christ as being his personal savior.
