It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Charles Bibby, the beloved patriarch of the Bibby family. Charles was born on December 22, 1936, in Copley, OH, to his loving parents, Robert and Beulah Bibby.
Charles was a 1956 graduate of Copley High School, Copley, Ohio, and was a Quality Control Inspector of the Nuclear Engineering Division of Babcock & Wilcox/McDermont, Barberton, Ohio, serving 39 years and retiring in 1995. Charles severed in the US Naval Reserve from Jan. 1954 thru June 1960, wherein he was drafted into the US Army from Jun 1960 until June 1964.
Throughout his life, Charles touched the hearts of many with his kindness, wisdom, and gentle spirit, with a heavy heart, Charles leaves behind his devoted wife of 61 years, Ruby Jean Bibby (Lofton). He also leaves behind his daughter Carla Thatch (Bibby) and son-in-law, Kenneth Thatch, his son Charles Bibby II, daughter-in-law Carmelita Bibby and his cherished granddaughters, Claire Thatch and Camryn and Charleigh Bibby.
Charles was blessed to be a part of a strong, close-knit family, and his wisdom and love will forever be etched in their hearts. Charles enjoyed family, friends, travel, camping, gardening, and music. Charles enjoyed service to others always looking to help when needed. In his lifetime, Charles built a legacy of love, compassion, and strength. He was a source of guidance and support to his loved ones, always offering his wisdom and understanding. Charles approached life with a warm smile and a kind word, making everyone he encountered feel cherished and valued.
Charles is proceeded in death by Robert and Beulah Bibby. Siblings: Louis Williams, Clarence Bibby, Clarine Dove, Robert Bibby Jr., Artiff Brown, Alexander Bibby, William Myrl Bibby, John Bibby.
While we mourn Charles’ loss, we take solace in the memories we shared with him and the impact he made on our lives. His passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but his spirit will continue to inspire us to live each day with love and kindness.
