Charles Lee Portis, Sr. passed away on April 2, 2021. He was born in Akron, OH to the late John W. Portis and Mary L. Portis on March 23, 1952. He attended Akron Public Schools, graduating from Garfield High School. He served in the U.S. Airforce and worked for the Federal Aviation Administration for over 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jerry Dean Portis; brothers, Larry D. Portis, and Lorenzo Portis.
He leaves to cherish his memory sons, Charles (Annetta) Portis, Jr., and Johnathan Henderson; daughter, Crychelle Portis; brothers, Willie J. Portis, Fiorello (Delissa) Portis and Johnnie J. (Yvette) Portis; sister, Dorothy J. Portis; very special friend, Irma J. Smith; 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
