Charles Leon Satterwhite (Chuck), 71 was born on August 19, 1952 in Akron, Ohio. He departed this life on February 24, 2024, at Summa Health System after a long and courageous battle with kidney failure.
He was a graduate of South High School, and obtained an Apprentice Degree in Carpentry.
In 1992 he married the love of his life Loretta Evans Satterwhite. They raised their three sons LaVail, Billy and, Darius.
Charles confessed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized at an early age. He was an ordained Deacon at Mt Lebanon Baptist Church under the pastorage of Reverend Robert J. Evans.
Charles was a Journeyman Carpenter by trade, construction worker and Supervisor for the City of Akron. He was a Chess Master (he could not be beat). He loved his music, gospel, jazz and, of course James Brown. He played and taught the Saxophone along with various wind instruments. He loved and raised German Shepherds. He was well known in the field of martial arts. Charles was the family historian – he would tell you your age if he knew what year you were born. He was a mathematical genius!
Charles was known for his style of dress. This passion showed in his hat collection and of course his Stacy Adams shoes and boots!
He served on the Deacon Board at Mt Lebanon until his illness. His favorite scripture is Ephesians 2: 8-10. He loved to sing “Victory Is Mine” this was his testament for he knew that one day he would get the Victory!
Deacon Charles loved his family he was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Walter and Anna Kate Satterwhite, brother Robert Lee Satterwhite, Sister Cheryl Rea Satterwhite, son William Lee Satterwhite (Billy).

Jacob Ryan Berry-Satterwhite of Las Vegas, Nevada, Amiriya Malay Shelton-Satterwhite of Starksville, Mississippi, Zaynier Britton of Canton, OH, Bryce Ali Satterwhite of Cincinnati, OH and Granddaughter Devan E. Duncan and Great Grandson Neli A. Galarza-Duncan of Sacramento, California. Sisters; Laverne Powell of Reynoldsburg, OH. JoAnn Minter- Satterwhite of Wayne, MI.
