Charmaine Renea Cleveland, age 68, passed away on March 7, 2023.

Charmaine G. Cleveland 68, affectionately called “Cookie” passed away peacefully at South Point Hospital on March 7, 2023.

She was born on October 10, 1954, in Baltimore, Maryland, a daughter to the late Mable Bernice Shivers and Nathaniel White.

Cookie enjoyed shopping and spending time on the phone with anyone and her new hobby Facebook. She was educated in the Cleveland Public School system and graduated in 1973 from John Hay High School.

For thirty one years, Cookie was employed by the  Cleveland Board of Education and  retired in 2010.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nathaniel White Sr., and Bernice Shivers, stepfather William Shivers and two brothers, Henry White, Terrance Shivers and play brother Timothy Siegler as well as mother-in-law Marie Cleveland and father-in-law Thomas McClanahan.

Charmaine leaves to cherish her memory: husband of forty-four years Robert Cleveland. Siblings Angela Poole (Shawn), Mike Shivers (Martha) of Virginia, Michael White, Nathaniel White, Robin Talley (Red), play brother Eddie Wright, and baby girl Candy Patterson. In addition to a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, friends, and special nephew/son Trayvon White.
