Cheryl Marie Morrow was born October 13, 1949 to Adrienne Bonds and Raymond Cook. She was the oldest of nine children.
Cheryl accepted Christ at an early age, and was baptized and attended Harvest Missionary Baptist Church.
Cheryl spent most of her young life in Georgia, and came to Cleveland when she started 3rd grade. She finished her education when she graduated from John F. Kennedy High School.
After graduating, she returned to Georgia and married Harry Slaughter. She had three children – Steve, Anthony and Adrienne Cherisse.
Cheryl enjoyed many things – dancing, going out to dinner, and listening to old school music. A few of her favorites were Atomic Dog, More Bounce, and Electric Slide.
Cheryl worked as a clerk at Lee’s Cleaners and Speedwash Laundromat. This is where she met and married the late Andrew Morrow.
She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted friend Walter Bailey, her children Steve A. Slaughter (Katrina), Anthony T. Slaughter (Dwayna), and Adrienne Cherisse. Siblings Elizabeth Hendricks (Mitch), Joe Jones (Regina), Vivian Jones, Jesse Bonds, Anita Woodward, Kimberly Bonds and Judith Bonds, Ken, Keith, Curtis and Caroline Cook.
Grand children Labree (Jr.), Christopher (Brooklyn), Nell, Ladeja, Tierra, Taja, Lanisha, April, Andre, Avontae, Caine, and eight great-grandchildren. Special friends Annette Levert, Gina Sellars, William Jack Spencer, eight great-grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
