Chavelye Capre Smith was born on November 27, 1990, to Norman and Belina Smith. He was the youngest of his mother’s children. Growing up in the West Akron Area, he attended and graduated from Akron Public Schools. During school, he played football and basketball.
Chevelye was baptized at a young age at First Apostolic Faith Church. He became an entrepreneur, performing multiple jobs. The pride and joy of his life was his daughter, Kapre, he enjoyed watching her grow and being a pillar of love in her life. Chevelye loved to travel with his brother, Norman, and spend time with his family and friends. He will be missed by all who loved him.
He is preceded in death by relatives: Betty Smith, Sam Smith Sr., Cookie Smith, and Sam Smith.
Chavelye leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Balina Smith; father, Norman Smith; grandmother, Elizabeth Lake; godmother, Nadine Abates; uncle, Purnell Lake; daughter, Kapre Payne; brothers, Norman Smith and Tyree Smith; uncles, Mickey Smith and Wayne Smith; aunts, Lulu Smith and Debbie Smith; as well as a host of other family and friends.
