Chinester Jewels Driggins, affectionately known as “Miss Cookie,” was born on July 24, 1951, to Willis and Bernice Sanders. She peacefully departed this life on August 12, 2026, at the age of 75.

Miss Cookie was a loving, caring, outspoken, and honest woman who was truly one of a kind. She was never afraid to speak her mind and always remained true to herself. Her caring heart and genuine nature touched the lives of many people throughout her life.

Miss Cookie dedicated her life to working in homecare, where her loving and compassionate spirit allowed her to care for others. She had a natural heart for helping people and brought that same love and care into her relationships with family and friends.

Those who knew Miss Cookie knew that she was a woman with a strong personality, a big heart, and a way of making herself known. Her honesty, outspoken nature, and caring spirit made her unforgettable. She created countless memories with the people she loved, and those memories will continue to be treasured.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Bernice Sanders.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son, David Sanders; granddaughters, Donisha Williams, Davia Sanders, and Chinester Monique; grandsons, Javon, Maurice, and Demonte; little brother, Willis Sanders; sister-in-law, Ann; nieces, Tearra and Shatara; nephew, Michael Willis the Third; cousins, David, Debra, Gene, and Donald; daughter-in-law, Tracy Williams and Rosetta Minger; and her best friends, Ora, Cindy, Annette, Yalunda Bonton, Stanly Bob Mcoy, Bobby, and Mr. Hunter.

She also leaves to cherish her memory Aaron, Kevin, Maurice, Charese Mack, and Leandrew, along with many other family members, friends, and loved ones whose lives were touched by her presence.

She also leaves behind Donald Driggins and ex-husband Willie Scott, with whom she shared a part of her life’s journey.

Miss Cookie’s love, honesty, caring heart, and unforgettable personality will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Though she has made her transition from this earthly life, the memories she created and the love she gave will continue to live on.

Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and she will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
