Christian Curtis Ricardo Collier, beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend, passed away on April 2nd, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Born on May 15th, 2004, in Cleveland, Ohio, Christian brought joy and warmth into the lives of all who knew him. He was the youngest child of Bridgett Collier-Calloway and the second youngest of Rodney Rice’s four children. From the moment of his birth, Chris filled the room with his vibrant spirit.
Chris attended Maple Heights High School, where he graduated with the class of 2022. As a young entrepreneur with ambitious goals, he was determined to make his mark on the world. Alongside his aspirations to join the National Guard, Chris remained steadfast in his faith, having given his life over to God as a child within the Christian Baptist tradition.
Christian’s passions included playing video games on his PlayStation 4, appreciating sports cars, music, and the arts. Additionally, Chris possessed a hidden gift for singing that he shared with those closest to him.
Among the treasured memories that Chris leaves behind are the moments he shared with his family. Every Thanksgiving and Christmas, he would delight his loved ones with performances of special songs, such as Chris Brown’s “This is Christmas” and “Superhuman,” which he would duet with his sister Roniece.
Chris is survived by his mother Bridgett Collier-Calloway, stepfather Darnell Calloway, father Rodney Rice, sisters Roniece Rice, Diamond Collier, and Taylah Grays, as well as nephews Tremayne Rice and unborn nephew Christian Jream. He also leaves behind his grandfather Fred Collier Sr., Grandmothers Hattie Dunn and the late Gladys Rice, Uncle Fred Collier Jr., Aunt Valerie McClinton, Cousins Zipporah, Kent, Kennedy and a host of other relatives and friends, all of whom will forever cherish his memory.
In the hearts of those who knew him, Chris will always be remembered for the love he shared with everyone around him. Though he may be gone, his spirit will live on in the laughter, joy, and love he brought into the world. Rest in peace, dear Chris. You will be deeply missed.
