Christopher Dion Curry was called home on Tuesday, June 28, 2022. He was born in Akron, Ohio on October 4, 1973, to Jennie Marshall and James Curry.
Chris graduated from West Philadelphia High School in 1990 and received his Ridge-MTF Welding certificate in November of 2013. His career was welding, which was including but not limited to remodeling homes, roofing, framing, drywall, plumbing and sometimes even working on vehicles!
Christopher was a Christian man who not only believe but praised God’s name. He enjoyed going to church with his loved ones, Mechelle, and Douglas.
In his free time, Chris enjoyed travelling, listening to music, going out to eat, and going to the casinos. Blue, black, white, and gold were Chris’ favorite colors. Football was Chris’ sport of choice and he loved to watch his two favorite teams play: the Philadelphia Eagles and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Chris loved his family, he loved to spend time with his children and being around everyone who loved him back.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jennie Marshall; father, James Curry; grandmother, Mattie Daniels; and daughter, Carla Curry.
Chris is survived by children, Deavonir Mitchell and Douglas Tolliver both of Akron, OH, several more children and grandchildren; life partner, Mechelle Wingo; brother, James Bell, Cedric Marshall Sr. of Akron, OH; God sister, Marquetta Fields of Akron, OH; aunt, Anita (Willie) Wilkins; uncles, Anthony Wallace and Donald Wallace both of Akron, OH; nieces, Chernara Little, Jasmine Bell, and Jamase Bell; special niece, Rowshawnda Fields; nephews, Cedric “Bo” Marshall Jr., Javiere Bell, Jamier Bell, and D’Anthony Washington all of Akron, OH; wife, Kaish Curry of Columbus, OH; as well as a host of extended family members and many friends.
