Clara L. Lovett, age 76, went home to be with the Lord on October 13, 2021. Clara L. Lovett, age 76, went home to be with the Lord on October 13, 2021. Clara is survived by her beloved children, Michael Lovett and Michelle (Anthony) Dowd; siblings, Ronnie Constant (Annetta), Elijah “Wayne” Constant (Francine), Phillip Constant (Jessica), Michael Sanders (Debra) and Ronnie Faye Austin-Branch; special granddaughter, Tahji Dowd; sister-in-laws, Jean Constant and Ann Constant; and a host of other nieces, nephews, and cousins. Clara is the daughter of the late, Walter Constant Sr. and Emma Lou Constant. She is also preceded in death by her siblings, James Constant, Bernard Sanders, Dorothy Tubbs and Walter Constant Jr.

Remember the good times and keep picking up the pennies from heaven that you find on the street, they are family members from heaven letting you know they are thinking of you and letting you know. Auntie Clara you will always hold a special place in my heart. Oh the memories that we share. The laughter, the phone calls, even the tears shed that you were there to catch and console in some of my greatest times of need. And we’re not even going to get into those seven-up cakes Auntie. Lord have mercy, you made sure even after we moved to Texas that we got some of that cake in the mail. You made sure your babies got their cake lol. You took care of our babies just like they were your own, and for that I will always love and appreciate you.
Although you will be sorely missed, my soul is rejoicing right now, as I know the angels in heaven are singing. You have your wings now. Glory, glory, glory hallelujah! Until we meet again. I love you dearly.
