Clara’s Story….
Clara R. Davis was born on December 15, 1959, to the union of Walter and Louise Davis. Clara was a member of Providence Baptist Church and accepted Christ at an early age.
Clara attended Cleveland Municipal Schools graduating from John Adams High School in 1978.
Clara pursued higher education after high school by becoming a certified court reporter. Clara also obtained many positions in retail management and dietary service management.
Clara did not do this journey alone. On December 19, 1998, she married the love of her life Aaron Rucker.

Clara leaves to mourn her passing, husband Aaron Rucker. Sisters: Vanessa Ellman, Yolanda Nelson (Anthony), Sons: Eshuan Davis (Angel), Tyjuan Davis (Marcia), Bentley Reese, Joshua Davis and Robert Gilliam. Daughters: Vera Rucker, Summer Gilliam and Remington Duncan. Grandchildren: Naisr Walker, Savannah Davis, Reign Davis, Eshuan Davis Jr., Renice Davis, LaLa Young and Caden Martez Johnson Jr.
Clara had a heart of gold which yielded her to one of her greatest joys in becoming a foster and adopted parent to over 25 children.
Clara shared her heart with everyone she encountered; she also leaves to mourn a host of nieces, nephews, neighbors, friends. She shared special sisterhoods with Gail Chambers, Kim Thompson, Gwendolyn (Pat) Hall, Geradine Price and Debra Shepherd.
Clara has completed her earthly race, her legacy remains bright and strong for the love she gave, the lives she touched, and the faith she carried will continue to echo on.
Clara’s story will remain a comforting song, soft as a prayer and sweet as a dove, for Clara was a woman of faith, of warmth and of everlasting love.
