Clara Paige, at the age of 89, peacefully departed this life on the morning of April 3, 2024 at Legacy Twinsburg Nursing Home.
Clara was born in North Carolina on January 21, 1935, to the late Utley and Luna Mae Herring. She was one of seven children: Raymond Herring (late), Willie Mae (late), Andrew Herring (late), Junior Herring (late), Barbara Autry, and Sidney Herring.
She attended public school in North Carolina where she graduated from high school.
After graduation she moved to Cleveland with her sisters and began to build a life and family together with her husband Willis Paige Sr. (late) and through this union were born three children: Willie Jr., Milton & Annette. She was a grandmother of three; Stephanie, Sheldon, & Armond, a great grandmother of four; Kellan, Declan, Kingson, & Shallon, and had a niece, Doris Varner.
At an early age she professed her faith in Jesus Christ. She later joined Unity Baptist Church under Rev. Cryer, where she was a dedicated and faithful member and served on the Missionary Board and the Nursing Guild.
She worked in the healthcare field at Lutheran Medical Center for thirty-five years where she retired. Besides spending time with her family and friends, she had a passion for reading, traveling short trips, needle point, crafts, cooking, shopping, Bingo, and volunteering.
She accepted everyone with an open heart, open arms, and a beautiful smile.
As a result of her generous spirit and pleasant personality she was loved by many, and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who know her.
All who knew her, knew her favorite bible verses were Psalm 23 and The Lord’s Prayer.
