Clarence Bernard Moton was born February 12, 1948, in Winston Salem, North Carolina to the union of William and Mary Magdalene Moton.
He attended Central-Hower High School and the University of Akron. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, who served during the Vietnam War. While in the Armed Services, he was a highly honored First Sergeant, Ranger, Green Beret in Special Forces Combat and a Parachutist.
Clarence was married to Shetorra Moton and a father to Shawntee’, Shontia, Shaneika, and Skyler. He loved to spend time in his “man-cave” listening to jazz and watching action-packed movies. One of his favorite actors was Clint Eastwood. He also enjoyed talking about his worldwide travels; an experience he was very proud of. One of his favorite quotes was, “…oh, what a tangled web we weave…”.
Clarence was preceded in death by his wife, Shetorra; brother, Bobby Moton, and sister, Claudette Diggs.
He is survived by his children, Shawntee’, Shontia, Shaneika and Skyler; mother, Mary Moton; brothers, William and Michael Moton; grandchildren and great-grandchildren Timothy, Anthony, Faith, My’Anna and Londynn Moton; Aunts, Roslie Littlejohn, and Willet Massey.
