Clarence was born August 14, 1946 in Cleveland, OH to the late Dan Fraiser, Walter and Marie Brewster. He was the oldest of four children, two of his sibling Cheryl Caldwell and Walter Brewster Jr., also preceded him in death.
Clarence received most of his education in the Catholic school system graduating from Cathedral Latin High School in 1964, with a basketball scholarship to attend Iowa State University. While there he joined the Omega psi phi fraternity. After leaving college, He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army from 1969-1971. During his tour of duty, he was sent to Viet Nam and Germany.
Clarence was raised in a loving environment with parents that supported him in all of his endeavors. He was raised in the Catholic religion but later converted to Christianity. After, working several jobs and in several industries, until he was employed with AT&T and retired in 2008 after 30 years of service. Clarence was the father of four children with his marriage to Shannon Curry. Three of their children Carole, Terrance and Marcus, all preceded him in death. Each of his children’s deaths devastated him and took apart of him with them.
Clarence was affectionate known as Red, Frenchy, Cornbread, CB and last but not least Cub, was a happy go-lucky kind of guy that was a joy to be around. He was the nicest person you would ever want to meet. He has maintained childhood friendships that has lasted a lifetime. He dated his current wife for several years before they decided to get married. He gave her this line about liking a girl in second grade named Rosalind, and it must have worked because they have been together ever since. He always told her that she was the love of his life. They spent time on cruises and traveling as often as possible. He had this unique gift of telling the grandkids stories that only they would believe.
He loved all sports and in his later years after retirement developed a love for golf, and joined a league, the High Tees. As an avid golfer he played nearly every course in Northeast Ohio. They also traveled out of state annually, to enjoy the warmer temperatures to golf. Jazz was his favorite music with his favorite musician being Fela, an African jazz artist.
He leaves precious memories to a loving and devoted wife, Rosalind of Thirty-three years, Son Darryl (Debbie), 2 bonus sons Jerry (Marita), and Kevin (Alicia), Granddaughter Dejah, 9 bonus grandchildren, 9 bonus great-grandchildren, Sister Denise Brewster, Brother-in-law Gregory Lee, Special niece Carmen Butler, Special nephew William Caldwell, 2 great-nieces Akira and Netanya, 3 great-nephews Nathanial, Aaron and Isaiah, 2 Godchildren William and Angela, a bonus goddaughter Sharice. Additionally, a host other relatives and friends.
