Clister Holloman was born on June 7, 1966, in Cleveland, Ohio, the second of four children to the late Annie Holloman and William Holloman, Jr. From the beginning, she carried a bright spirit, a musical soul, and a quiet confidence that made her unforgettable.
She began her education in Catholic elementary school before eventually graduating from John Marshall High School. As a young girl, Clister developed a love for music, played basketball, and fashion—interests that became defining parts of her vibrant personality.
Raised in a strong church family, she sang faithfully in the choir and was often called upon to perform “I’d Trade a Lifetime” alongside her mother and brother Errol. Her voice and presence blessed countless services and remain treasured memories.
Clister held several jobs before beginning a long and impactful career in IT with Progressive Insurance, where she worked for over three decades. Dedicated and driven, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business from Colorado Technical University.
A loving and devoted mother, Clister found her greatest joy in her son, Austin Holloman Rawls. Her home was filled with warmth, laughter, good music, and the company of loved ones.
Clister’s life was marked by kindness, strength, and a gentle spirit. Her voice, presence, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Annie Holloman; her father, William Holloman, Jr.; and her brother, Errol Gerard Holloman. She leaves to cherish her loving son, Austin Holloman Rawls; her brothers, William Holloman III (Terry) and Curtis Holloman; along with a host of devoted cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
