Heaven has gained another amazing angel. Michael Brevin Cogburn passed away after a tremendously strong and courageous battle with a rare form of cancer.
Michael was born July 23, 1999, at Akron City Hospital to the union of Heather Fry and George Michael Cogburn. Michael was a talented musician playing four different instruments. He also loved baseball, basketball, football, and he loved to draw. He was an avid gamer and an all-around young man. He was a member of New Trinity Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Luther E. Johnson, Jr. He worked at Acme Fresh Market, ELC, and Coca-Cola Company.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Campbell (Jim) and Margaret Donaldson; granddads, Laurence (Jeff) Fry and George S. Cogburn.
He is survived by his mother Heather Fry; father, George M. Cogburn; brother Andre` Vaughn; sister, Tiffany Foster (Leveall), Ashley Cogburn of Jacksonville, FL and Kennedy Cogburn of Stone Mountain, GA; grandparents, Pamela Fry (Bob) and Verlyne Cogburn; special friend, Makayla as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends.
Michael left a very strong, kind, and caring impression on everyone who knew him. To lose him is crushing. Our lives will be a whole lot emptier without him.
