Colleen Joan Fox-Kitchen, passed away on September 29, 2020 at the age of 88 at her home. She was known as NANNY to everyone.
Colleen Joan Fox Kitchen was born on November 22, 1931 in Ramsey, England to the proud parents of Polly and Thomas Fox. She was the ninth of eleven children; all preceded her in death, expect the youngest, Ann Endersby.
Colleen, knew the Lord very well. She had a special relationship with Him.
Colleen met the love of her life, Gordon H. Kitchen II at a military dance in the U.K. Soon after they united in marriage, that resulted in having three children: Jan D. (McGhee), Gay S. (Wilson), and Gordon H. Kitchen III. They moved to the United States after Jan was born in 1953. Gordon preceded Colleen in death on June 15,2009.
Colleen was a retired seamstress and continued her love of sewing as a hobby. She made “a host of Prom dresses, wedding dresses, and drapes” as she would say. Nanny made sure that every child she came in contact with, did not go without, regardless of what it was.
Colleen leaves behind three lovely children, Jan McGhee, Gay Wilson, and Gordon H. Kitchen III; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren, Arse’ne Locke and Westley Fitzgerald Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
