Cora Mae Hendricks, age 91, passed away peacefully into God’s loving arms on August 20, 2024 following a brief illness. She was a life-long member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church and dedicated her life to her family, faith, and community. She loved cooking delicious southern meals and staying busy.

She was born on February 8, 1933 in Decatur, Alabama to parents, James and Willie Mae Stone. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, C.H. Stone, Willie Stone, London Stone, Arthur Stone, Leon Stone and Hodges Stone; her sister, Lillie (Stone) Maxwell; her daughter, Veronica A. Smith, and her son, James A. Hendricks.

Cora leaves to cherish her memory; daughters, Deborah G. Stone, Sandra J. Terry, and Lillie F. Harrison; grandchildren, Wendell Smith (Amy), Landon Harrison, Kea Smith, Mesha Allen, Jawan Smith, and James Terry; sisters, Ida (PQ) English and Christine (Stone) Flakes.  Cora leaves many more family, friends, fellow parishioners and neighbors whom she treasured.

A graveside service will be held for Cora on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Mount Peace Cemetery, 183 Aqueduct St., Akron, OH 44303 with Pastor Robert Evans officiating.
