Cynthia Rose Bryant was born on April 15th, 1953, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late William Cullen Bryant Sr. and Annie Elizabeth Wilson. Cynthia was the 5th oldest of 8 children. Cynthia accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior and was baptized April 2006. She was a member of The New Life Missionary Baptist Church under Pastor Bobbie C Laster. Cynthia attended Charles H. Lake Elementary, Franklin Delanor Roosevelt Jr. High School, was a mighty “Tarblooder” attending Glenville High School and took courses at Cuyahoga Community College, all in Cleveland, Ohio.
Cynthia was a daddy’s girl who grew up “down the way” on St. Clair. She kept it real and didn’t take any foolishness from anybody. She loved listening to music and loved to dance. She worked in Food Services as well as in Hospitality at Progressive Insurance. She celebrated 27 years of sobriety.
Cynthia was a chef and loved to cook. She created special recipes that the family still often make today. Cynthia loved to shop and would often take shopping trips with her sisters, nieces, and friends. Cynthia’s life was deeply rooted in love for her family; she enjoyed celebrating holidays and special events with them. She was always willing to help, she was always the one everyone trusted to babysit the kids, her door was open to all, and the neighborhood loved her dearly.
To know Cynthia was to know how much she adored her only child, her son Demetrius, affectionately known as Poo-Poo. Their bond was unbreakable, filled with love that is everlasting and will never fade.
God called Cynthia home, and she received her wings on August 18th, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers William Jr, Ronald, Larry and Gerald Bryant. Cynthia leaves to cherish her memory, her loving and devoted son Demetrius Bryant (Manicka), four grandchildren, ShaDonna, Dominique, Danaja, and Demetrius Jr., two great grandchildren Josiah and Jeremiah, three siblings, Beverly Grant, Delbert Bryant, Deborah Scott, godson Deontay Collins, long term friends who she loved dearly, Leola, Verde, Darlene and Cynthia Grant and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving family and friends
