Damein Daun’te Cook was born on November 6, 1978 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Paul Cook Sr. and Carolyn Cook. Damein was raised in a Catholic faith from his father and a Baptist faith from his mother.
Damein better known as Dame attended Cleveland Public Schools where he graduated with his high school diploma. He went on to further his education by attending truck driving school and obtaining his CDL’s. He started his new journey working for the City of Cleveland then moved on to going over the road working for Platinum. He was most recently working for Waste Management.
Damein was a family-oriented man. He loved spending time with his family. He had an extra special relationship with his mother. He was a die-hard fan of the Browns and the Cavs. He enjoyed traveling, in the spring/summer riding in his slingshot, shopping, and relaxing in his favorite reclining chair watching his tv shows in his man cave.
Damein met the love of his life LaToya in 2007 and were later married Nov 10, 2018. He helped raise her 3 children Mariah Eberhardt, Heavenli Pass and Damien Pass Jr. whom they adored. Dame and Toya spent countless hours together talking and laughing while watching tv and discussing future goals.
Damein leaves to cherish his memory his wife La Toya Cook, 3 step-children Mariah Eberhardt, Heavenli Pass and Damien Pass Jr., his mother Carolyn Burten, father Paul Cook Sr. (deceased), 4 brothers, Paul Cook Jr. (Ramona), De’Andre Burten, Michael Cook (deceased) and Stewart Cook (Dennee), 2 sisters-in-laws Brittany Watts, Danielle Taylor, Mother-In-Law Veronica Watts, Aunts Delois Davis (Lewis deceased), Dorothy Barakaa (Bernard ex), Mary Acree (Tim), Ella Winn (Thelton), Linda Clark(Charles), Joyce Blackmon(Woody) and Doris McGhee (deceased). Uncles, Nathaniel Brown Jr. (deceased) Jerry McGhee, Tommy Miller (Twilla) and Willie Hudson (deceased) 7 nephews Dai’Vonne Cook, Keon Cook, De’Andre Burten Jr., Kaiden Cook, Kingston Cook, Amari Taylor, AJ Dismuke, 4 nieces Jadan Westley, Brooklynn Watts, Peighton Mayhan and Amara Taylor. He also leaves behind a host of great-aunts and uncles from around the states many cousins and friends.
