William J. Washington MD left a message on March 17, 2025:
My relationship with Danny Sr. matured over the almost 60 years that I've known him. He went from being " just my sister's boyfriend" to a very good brother-in- law who was also a "Car Nut " like myself. We spent may hours talking about automobiles., sports, politics, etc throughout our lives. He will be missed. I pray that God grants his wife Willie Mae, children Vannessa and Danny Jr., and the rest of his family and friends strength and comfort during this mournful time in our lives.

Big Danny was a constant in the family for many years, a parent who loved his family and friends. A lover of cars, he collected a few and crafted names for them that I fondly remember. He will be forever loved for his kindness to all.
Reginald & Dortha Holcomb & Family left a message on March 15, 2025:
Dan was my friend for many years then we became golfing buddies & Brothers. When I think of Dan I think of the scripture found @ Proverbs 17:17 that says: “A true friend shows love @ all times & is a brother who is born for times of distress.” I will truly miss him. (Reggie) We ALL (Dortha, Saquawn, Jammie &J) will miss Dan. We could always count on him for pictures for prom, parties, special celebration etc. He & his family was also, our family. “Praise be the God & Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies & the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God.” (1Corinthians 1:3,4). 🌹
